This is Catendee, a 12-page comic i drew in a week as a business card-type thing to pass around at APE.
It's a little rushed, but i think it has its charms.
NOTE: I have like 6 or 7 copies left, so if you want one, send me a LJ message or somethin. i'd way prefer that this be read in minicomic form, so don't read this if you want a copy!

(Sorry about the crummy quality of the scans, i don't have the original art with me so all this is scanned from the printed comic.)

ghhh, i'm about to start inking the comic. i'm pretty anal about consistency, so i was going to wait until the entire comic was pencilled before i moved to the next stage, but it's really tough on morale to see all these pages sitting around half done.

I lost a very important moleskine the other day actually, the one i had been using as a super intimate comics diary since december (and showing it to only my closest, unlike fools that be makin weak ass journal comics for the internet)

usually it's either comics or girls, but i've got a girl now too. luck is on my side.

anybody else figured out what bakuman character type they are yet?
I identify the most with the main character mashiro... but come on, let's be real. i'm definitely closest to hiramaru, minus the abrasive personality. lucky amateurs adjusting to the life of the comics artist.

Things are going pretty good. I'm deep into comics again after months of just focusing on producing my own. My weird, short obsession with classic videogames has been satisfied I guess. i got a dreamcast and a PS1 and spent four(?) weeks just completely saturating myself with videogames from 1999 until i was totally burned out. My comics projects are going good too. I don't wanna jinx it by analyzing too much, but i can feel it in my bones... they WILL be done in time for APE in october. I know it.

Never ended up finishing this comic. The next day i did it, i asked her out to coffee through a note during graduation, and she politely told me she had a boyfriend. And that was it, it was no big thing, and there was no awkward blood between us. We got through the graduation caremony, and we were able to joke around and point out weird pube staches, and it was cool. she even gave me a nice hug when it was time for us to part ways.

I got one of those credit cards where you load the money as you go, so it's safe to use online. now i'm browsing the netz all the time, looking for stuff to buy. way too much.
I actually ordered a SEGA DREAMCAST the other night, along with Jet Grind Radio and Shenmue. I was gonna get a netbook, but videogames always hold higher priority than Life Equipment.
Man, I really need to quit twitter. This is all stuff i've covered before, now i'm just recapping. going through the motions of blogging.

Still writing, i'm working on two comics right now. one is a spinoff of the other. I plan to have at least one of them finished and ready to print by the end of july.
WOULDN'T IT BE FREAKY IF I FINISHED THE SPINOFF FIRST? haha
